“New Beijing, Great Olympics” Exhibition
The Exhibition displays large-scale sand tables and life-like models of the stadiums and facilities now under construction, as well as photos depicting Beijing’s preparations for the big event. Beijing Olympic Mascots also cut a figure at the Exhibition. David Kosh of Channel Seven hosted the opening ceremony, graced by Cathy Freeman, Senator the Hon Amanda Vanstone, and other celebrities. This two-week long exhibition attracted 700,000 attendences.
