BIBF 2009 Country of Honor: Spain

Since 2005, the Beijing International Book Fair has invited a Country of Honor to showcase its culture and publications. In addition, the honored country can also suggest three recipients for the Chinese Book Prize for Special Achievements. In previous years, the following countries have been guests of honor:

• 2008: Greece

• 2007: Germany

• 2006: Russia

• 2005: France

Beijing International Opening Hours and Hall Set-up

The BIBF was held at the China International Exhibition Center at 6 East Beisanhuan Road in Beijing’s Chaoyang District. BIBF’s opening reception took place on Thursday, September 3, in the morning.
