The Beauty of Simplicity (Άσ): Baihe of Sichuan Province
Within the Baihe Nature Reserve in Jiuzhaigou
of Sichuan
province, there are about 1,500 golden monkeys under four groups, which are believed to be the
most beautiful of all the different kinds of golden monkeys of different kinds
in Jiuzhaigou of Sichuan province. These much-petted animals,animals hold much
attraction to the travelersare great tourist attractions. In addition, Baima
(white horse) Tibetans, who often wear white feathers over their heads and whose
living habits are not known to the outsiders, also forms a unique sight in the
region.
Pets and masters
Behind the Baihe Nature Reserve, the mountains are higher and the forests
thicker, which stopthus stopping any vehicles from going further.
Half-wayHalfway up the hillside, there is situated a protection station, where
lives the stationmaster and several researchers live. The station master, Mr.
Zhang, the stationmaster, is a fifty-odd sturdy man, who is often referred to as
"Monkey King".

History and Legend
The ancient and unique Baima Tibetans are descendants of the Baima Fan
people. A long time ago, a military troop stormed into the a village dwelled by
Baima people, who despite valiantly resistinged the invaders in three battles
times within a year, but failed in the end due to great disparity in the number
of people. As a result, only a few more than 300 survived out of a total of
overmore than 50,000 villagers:, these survivorswho had no choice but to retreat
into the deep forest, living across the border between China's southwestern
Sichuan and northwestern Gansu provinces.
