Only 72 kilometers away from the center of Guiyang city, Tianlong Town can be reached by bus via the highway from Guiyang to Huangguoshu waterfalls. Travelers can get off the highway at Tianlong exit and on to the road to the south; Tianlong Town is just 2.5 kilometers away. For independent travelers, buses are available from Guiyang to Anshun every ten to fifteen minutes; tickets cost 12 yuan (US$1.50). Not far to the west of Tianshan Town is Qiyanqiao Town, on whose left side there is a fork. Yunshantun village lies two kilometers on the right of the fork, and Benzhai on the left.

In Tunbao Village, travelers can choose to live with the local farmers, at 10-15 yuan per person.
