Baoguo Temple

Camphor
tree | Besides its unique structure, there is
another peculiar phenomenon at Beamless Hall: No birds have nested there, not a
single spider web was found and no dust had accumulated. Some believe this is
due to the unique skills of the temple's workmen, which fully demonstrates the
great intelligence and creative power of the laboring people of ancient China.
Altogether there are 17 exhibition halls at Baoguo Temple open to the public.
In addition to the building itself, other important cultural relics on display
include the Emperor-conferred Longchang, Buddha statues, bronze
utensils, brick and stone sculptures, precious gifts from foreign guests, the
"thousand-labor bed", and the "thousand-labor sedan" -- to name just a few.

Sea-viewing Tip and Plum Forest. As one of the first scenic spots opened to the
rest of the world, Baoguo Temple also enjoys easy traffic accessibility with its
many public transportation routes that lead to the downtown area of Ningbo.
On the temple's central axis are the Mountain Gate, Heavenly King Hall, Grand
Hall, Kwan-yin Hall and Scripture Hall respectively, while on its east-west axis
there are some auxiliary buildings such as the bell tower, drum
