Tiantai Mountain

The scenic resort captures the beauty of many mountains, featuring the region's long history, elegance, uniqueness and serenity. Major scenic spots include Guoqing Temple, Chicheng Mountain, Shiliang Scenic Resort Area, Hanshan Lake, Han & Ming Rock Scenic Resort Area, Spring Dawn at Peach Source, Double Bouncing Brook, Huading Returning Cloud, Qiongtai Moonlight, Luoxi Fishing Boat, and so on.

** Guoqing Temple

With a total area of 23,000 square meters, Guoqing Temple is one of the key temples in China. Outside the gate of the temple, are such historical relics as the Sui Pagoda, Seven Buddha Pagoda and Pagoda of the Monk Master Yixing. Within the temple is the Grand Hall of Sakyamuni, Hall of Five Hundred Arhats (disciples of Buddha), Temple of Monk Jigong, the Fish Paradise, and a plum tree planted by Guanding, a forefather of Guoqing Temple.

** Chicheng Mountain

The mountain is reddish brown resembling great castles, which is a very unique feature among the surrounding green mountains known as the symbol and south gate of Tiantai Mountain. At dawn and dusk, white clouds gather at tree tops and the pagoda is tinged with a red glow; hence, it is called "Chicheng Dawn and Dusk Glow" -- one of the eight great scenic spots at Tiantai Mountain. There are 18 types of cave shapes, including the Temple of Monk Jigong, Eastern Zhejiang No 1 Monastery "Ziyun Cave," Taoism No 6 Cave "Yujing Cave," etc, which are known as holy places for both Buddhists and Taoists.

** Huading Forest Park

With an elevation of 800-1,000 meters above sea level, the park boasts thriving plantations, large patches of primeval subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forests and azaleas, fresh air and a top annual temperature of 28 degrees Celsius. It is an ideal place for recuperation and tourism, especially during summertime. The park features Li Bai's reading room (a famous Tang Dynasty poet), an ink pond and reading venues, such as "Huangjing Cave," "Viewing Sun Balcony" and "Returning Cloud Cave" of Wang Xizhi, China's No 1 calligrapher of the Jin Dynasty (265-420).
