The Yunlong Lake is situated in Xuzhou City of Jiangsu Province. It adjoins Hanshan Hill in the west, borders Yunlong Hill in the east and connects with Dashantou Hill and Pig Hill in the south. The lake covers an area of 5.8 square kilometers, with a road built in the middle, which is like a jade strip cutting the lake into the eastern and western parts.         

Main sights and activities of the Yunlong Lake Scenic Area include:

 Boating in the Yunlong Lake        

Several docks are built in the eastern lake, providing tourists with various kinds of boats such as big yacht and speeding boat.

 Lamplight Lights up the Lake

The night scene of the Yunlong Lake is fascinating. Colorful lamps are installed on the mid-lake island, around the swimming pool, roads and constructions surrounding the lake.

 Ten-li Long Causeway

The Yunlong Lake is surrounded by mountains on three sides. On the north side of the lake is a huge causeway of about 10 li (5 km) long and 37.5 meters high. Standing on the causeway and looking far into the distance, one will have a panoramic view of the fascinating scenery.   

 Ten Thousand People Swim Together

To the east side of the Ten-li Long Causeway, a huge swimming area is set up along the lake, covering an area of 150, 000 square meters. It is built of concrete at its base and artificial sand beach along its sides. When summer comes, groups of people, men and women, old and young, gather here. It is a great spectacle to see ten thousand people swim together.

 A Fascinating Place

Located on the northeast of the lake, a 600-meter-long tunnel runs through the third section of Yunlong Mountain. Tourists can take a boat to the Pengyuan Garden.

 Lotus Swaying in the Wind

Over 400 mu (15 mu = 1 hectare) of lotuses grow along the north side of the road in the south part of the lake, providing an enchanting view when flowers in full bloom.

 Fishing on the Lakeside

Tourists can fish along the lakeside, especially on the south bank of the eastern lake where a big fishing pound is built up with over 200 fishing seats.  

 Clouds of Peach-Blossom and Willow in Mist

Stretches of peach trees and willows grow along the east and south roads.

 Shadow of Tower on the Golden Mountain        

Lying at the foot of the Yunlong Mountain, the Small Golden Mountain is 45 meters above sea level, with a colored glaze tower standing on it. The tower is constructed in the architectural style of the Song Dynasty (960-1279). It is 22 meters high and has guardrail on every storey. Climbing up the spiral stairs to the top of the tower, one will have a panoramic view of the Yunlong Lake.

 Apricot Flowers Blossom in the Spring Rain

Stretches of apricot trees grow at the foot of the mountain between Yunlong Mountain and the Small Golden Mountain. During early spring, apricot flowers are in full blossom, forming an enchanting view.

 Birds Assemble at the Lake in Winter

When winter comes, groups of migratory birds fly to the lake which is shrouded with dense mist.
