China Culture Week was declared open on June 13 in al-Mansurah, the capital city of the Egyptian province of Ad Daqahliyah, and the event included the photo show of “Beautiful China”, screening of seven excellent Chinese feature films and a speech titled “Opportunities and Challenges Faced by China”.

China’s Ambassador to Egypt Wu Sike, Deputy Director of China’s Culture Center in Egypt Cui Xuezi, the provincial governor of Ad Daqahliyah, and more than other 300 dignitaries took part in the opening ceremony. Chinese ambassador and the governor of Ad Daqahliyah cut the ribbon for the photo show of “Beautiful China” and saw the film “Lotus Lamp”.

During the China Culture Week, one China-made excellent film would be screened each day. To last till June 20, the event is part of Chinese culture’s tour to northern Egypt.
