Revolutionary Struggles of Yanbian People, and the Exhibition of the Life Story
of Comrade Zhu Dehai -- An Exemplary Member of the CPC, A Loyal Communist Fighter
and An Outstanding Political Activist of Korean Ethnic Minority. The Exhibition
of Ancient Historical Relics of Yanbian displays the features of the historical
development from the Paleolithic Period up to the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911),
giving stress to the historical relics of the primitive society, the Bohai State
in the Tang Dynasty and the Eastern Xia State at the end of the Jin Dynasty
(1115-1234) so as to reflect the close links between the cultural development
throughout the ages of the Yanbian region at the Northeastern border area of the
motherland with the Zhongyuan (the Central Plains comprising the middle and
lower reaches of the Yellow River) culture on the one hand and the distinctive
local features on the other. The Exhibition of the History of Revolutionary
Struggles of Yanbian People reflects the struggles of the people of various
nationalities living in Yanbian against imperialism, feudalism and bureaucratic
capitalism during the revolutionary period of the Democratic Revolution of the
old type, particularly in the Anti-Japanese War and the Liberation War as well
as the contributions they have made during the development of the border area,
the construction of the border area and the safeguarding of the border
area.
