Wangfujing Business Street lies in Dongcheng District, the center of Beijing. A mere kilometer away from Tiananmen Square, the beautiful walking street houses the well-known Beijing Department Store, the famous Dong'an Market, the biggest arts and crafts shop in China, the biggest Xinhua Bookstore, the Foreign Languages Bookstore, the Lisheng Sports Shop, the Medical Appliances Shop, and so forth.

 Legend of Wangfujing

Originally, it was the site of a chieftain's villa, where a freshwater well and an exquisite pavilion made the place known far and wide. The chieftain was a very selfish man.
