Planets Get Together

"Planets Get Together" refers to the celestial phenomenon of five planets -- Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn -- getting into a line. In ancient China, the appearance of this phenomenon was said to foretell the change of a dynasty or regime.

The earliest "Planets Get together" recorded in Chinese history appeared in 206 BC, as a historic book records, "In October of the first year of Emperor Han Gaozu's reign, five planets got together to the east of the 'Jing' Constellation."

It has been proven that the phenomenon did not appear when Emperor Han Gaozu ascended the throne in October. In fact, it did not appear until July 205 BC, ten months after the emperor's coronation.
