Directions for the design:
The design takes the letters C and J, initials of China and Japan, the Great Wall and the number 30 as basic designing elements.
The letters C and J stand for China and Japan respectively. The interlocking pattern and color ribbon hue embodies well-operated Sino-Japanese cultural exchanges and rich cultural content.
The Great Wall represents long standing Chinese culture with established tradition. It reflects at the same time the Chinese Cultural Year. The gradually changing color serves as background giving expression to the profound Chinese culture.
The number 30 incarnates normalization of Sino-Japanese diplomatic relations. The figure, written in calligraphic style against a background set off by gradually changing color, symbolizes all-round friendship between Chinese and Japanese people.
