
Hou Hanru, Born in 1963, Guangzhou, China, Graduated from the
Central Institute of Fine Arts, Beijing (B.A. in 1985, M.A. in 1988), and has
lived and works in Paris since 1990 as an independent critic and curator. He has
been director of exhibitions and public programs, and chair of exhibition and
museum studies at the San Francisco Art Institute since July, 2006. Advisor at
the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam, Netherlands. Visiting
Professor at HISK, Hoger Instituut voor Shone Kunsten, Antwerp, Beligium.
