A week-long exhibition of Chinese and Russian propaganda paintings from the 1950s opened at the Beijing Russia Center on Friday.

Around 100 paintings by nearly 40 artists are on display at the exhibition, which will run through next week.

The works were dated from 1951 and 1952 when they celebrated friendship and respect between the two countries.
