Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony consists of four parts: The International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival opening ceremony, roadshow, the opening ceremony of the special conference of UNESCO intangible cultural heritage conservation intergovernmental committee members and a theme party.

The International Intangible Cultural Heritage Festival Opening Ceremony and Roadshow

Time: 8:30 a.m., May 23 Venue: Tiamfu Square

Agenda: Governor of Chendu Municipal People's Government hosts the ceremony.

Leader of Sichuan Provincial People's Government delivers a speech.

Leader of Culture Ministry delivers a speech.

Secretary General of UNESCO delivers a speech.

Officer with the highest rank declares the opening of the festival.

Roadshow

The theme roadshow is to last five days, during which performers are divided into five groups to perform in turns in squares and parks and all local residents and tourists are welcome to participate in the festival. It is hoped that the Intangible Heritage Festival will be a feast of culture, a gala for the people, and a platform for the promotion of worldwide intangible cultural heritage conservation, thus becoming an attractive international cultural event.
