Chinese Premier Concludes Visit to Japan

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao concluded his official visit to Japan on Friday when he departed Osaka for Beijing.

During the three-day visit, Wen met with Japanese Emperor Akihito and held talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The two sides also signed a joint press communique, in which the content of the strategic, mutually beneficial relationship between the two countries has been made clear and a series of measures to promote cooperation in all areas have been introduced.

Wen delivered a speech on Sino-Japanese friendship and cooperation to the Japanese parliament.

The Chinese premier also held talks with leaders of the parliament and political parties, and made extensive exchanges with common Japanese people.

Wen arrived in Tokyo on Wednesday from an official visit to South Korea. This has been the first time a Chinese premier visited the two countries in seven years.
