The Uncommon treasures showing on the Art Exhibition of ASEAN

Xue Shumei, the famous "pearl decorations" female artist of Singapore, showing her tour de force on the opening ceremony of the Art Exhibition of ASEAN. Another artist, comes from Brunei, showing toward the curious children his craft of fold hard plastic to a lovely lamp. A lot of ASEAN countries artists demonstrate their traditional handicrafts to the audience on the Exhibition.

As part important event of the 8th Asia Arts Festival (AAF), the Art Exhibition of ASEAN will hold from August 31 to September 6. It is learned that over 500 traditional handicraft articles were displayed in the Yanhuang Art Museum, where have 10 exhibiting districts for 10 countries. Every district has its special national characteristics. The exhibition not only shows the diversity of indigenous cultures of different Asian countries, but also embodies their common characteristics.

In the Exhibition, a lot of items are uncommon, such as the puppets of Indonesia and the woodcutting masks of Bali, all the handcrafts embodies their rich traditional culture in it, and attract a lot of audiences' attentions.
