A transnational group of journalists from major Chinese and Russian news
organizations returned to Beijing
on Wednesday after successfully completing a reporting project called the
Sino-Russian Friendship Tour.
A ceremony was held Monday at Red Square in Moscow to mark the conclusion of
the Sino-Russian Friendship Tour sponsored by China Radio International (CRI).
As part of the activities to commemorate the Year of Russia in China this
year, a journey of friendship set out from Tiananmen
Square in Beijing to Red Square in Moscow in late July.
The reporting group, consisting of more than 40 journalists from China and
Russia's major media, visited 19 Russian cities on a 15,000-kilometer journey
taking 42 days.
