On the 15th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN Dialogue
Relationship, the 8th Asia Arts Festival (AAF) will be held from August 31 to
September 6 in Beijing, from today's news of Xinhua website (10th). The AAF,
through the activities of the performance, forum and exhibitions, can promote
the understanding and friendship between China and other Asian countries.
Li Dongwen, the director of External Relations Bureau of the Ministry of
Culture, announced on the news conference today that this AAF will hold four
main activities, namely, the grand performance of "Bravo! ASEAN" jointly staged
by ASEAN and Chinese artists, the "Theme Conference of Asian (10+3) Art Museum
Directors Forum", "Asian Wonders - Art Exhibition of ASEAN", and "The 2nd NEACH
& (10+3) Cultural Personnel Resource Development and Cooperation Training
Class".
It is reported that the AAF, as the first regional international art festival
held by China, since its birth in 1998, has attracted 25 Asian countries to take
part in it.
