The Asian Art Gallery Forum will be held at the China Art Gallery from 31st August to 2nd September.
Considered one of the summit events on the Asian art calendar, the Forum
unites art galleries across Asia, especially the ASEAN member states, China,
Japan and South Korea. It provides a space for them to discuss issues in Asian
art, as well as research the problems art galleries face collecting and
exhibiting their work.
Three main events will be held during the Forum: the curator's forum, the
science forum and a special forum. Participating curators will discuss the
construction, development, cooperation and future of their art galleries at the
curator's forum. The science forum will focus on the regional development of
modern Asian art, as well as ASEAN's economic support. The curator of the
Chinese Capital Museum of Art will give a speech on the role of
China's art museums in the 21st century in the special forum.
