The Thai dancers and musicians that attend the 8th AFF mostly graduated from the famous Thai Drama Institute founded in 1934. The institute is now subordinate to the Performance Art Bureau of Thai Culture Ministry. It aims to promote Thai classical performance art, folk dance and traditional music.
