The Burma Song and Dance Troupe was founded in 1998, mainly performing on
occasions like reception ceremonies for visiting foreigner states' leaders, or
various art festivals worldwide. Its repertoires are mainly traditional music
and dance of Burma.
The troupe members are usually staffs from Burma Art Bureau, who mostly
graduated from various famous art schools in Rangoon, the capital, and Mandalay,
an ancient capital. The visiting musicians to perform during this festival are
made up of 10 art teachers from the Rangoon Culture College.
