The "Theme Conference of Asian (10＋3) Art Museum Directors Forum," held by China's Ministry of Culture and presented by the National Art Museum of China, aims to unite all the national art museums of Asian (especially ASEAN) countries to focus on the present situation and development of modern Asian art, the exchange of each other's experience on collecting, exhibiting and researching, the establishment of regional cooperation system, and the promotion of common development of Asian art museums.

The conference is divided into three sections, namely the Curators' Forum, Academic Forum and Special Forum.

The topics of the conference include:

1. Construction and development of Asian art museums;
2. Exchange, cooperation and development trend of Asian art museums;
3. Collecting, exhibiting and researching of Asian art museums;
4. Cooperation and exchange between art museums of the (10+3) countries;
5. Regional cultural characteristics of Asian art;
6. Development of modern Asian art;
7. Economic cooperation and art exchanges between ASEAN countries.
