The year of 2006 is the 15th anniversary of the establishment of China-ASEAN Dialogue Relationship. The 8th Asia Arts Festival (AAF) aims to express the wish for comprehensive cooperation in the political, economic and cultural fields between China and ASEAN countries, to bring forth the common efforts China and ASEAN have made to promote the cultural cooperation between ASEAN and China, Japan and South Korea, and to extend and enhance cultural exchange and cooperation between China and ASEAN, Japan and Korea.

The opening ceremony, exhibition, the 2nd NEACH, and Asian (10＋3) Art Museum Directors Forum will be held in Beijing ;

The Opening Ceremony of "(10＋3) Cultural Personnel Resources Development and Cooperation Training Class" will be held in Beijing, but the training programs will be held in Nanning in Guangxi and Foshan in Guangdong, South China.
