Closing ceremony unveiled

The closing ceremony of the Seventh China Arts Festival will be held in Shaoxing on September 26. The sponsor held a news conference in Hangzhou yesterday to disclose the excellent programs of the closing ceremony.

Four activities will be held in Shaoxing on September 26, including 100 sightseeing boats' cruise around Shaoxing city, Shaoxing Pyrotechnic Evening, square welcoming activity and the evening show of the closing ceremony.

The closing ceremony with the theme of "the reunion of art and people" is divided into two parts -- the 45-minute long prize-awarding ceremony presided by Pu Cunxin and Zhu Yuanyuan and the 80-minute long performance of Shao Opera "Real and Fake Monkey King". The Wenhua Award for various programs will be disclosed at the ceremony.

More than 40 lotus platforms with a diameter of 3.5 meters will be arranged into the "Stars Avenue" outside the Shaoxing Grand Theater. 40 girls in rich attire will sit on the platforms, playing lutes and guzheng (a Chinese zither with 25 strings).
