Audiences appraising panel selected for the first time

The 73 members of appraising panel from audiences of the Seventh China Arts Festival, the first national art pageant in the new century, have been selected. This is the first time to choose appraising panel from audiences, demonstrating the Seventh Chinese Arts Festival is a festival for people.

As a feast of arts and a festival for people, the plays and the artworks in the festival must be evaluated in accordance with the standard.

Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Ningbo, Shaoxing and Jiaxing invited the appraising panel from audiences publicly from August 16. Those between 20 to 60, who like dance, music and opera, are accessible for the panel. More than 400 audiences participated in the face-to-face interview and 73 have been chosen at last, among whom there are teachers in college, civil servants, editors, undergraduates, workers and peasants and professionals, who represent the different aesthetic standard of the audience.

According to the organizing committee of the arts festival, the 73 people will sever as the jury to select "the most popular program" and "the most popular actor" during the event.
