Most celebrated in its home country and recognized throughout the world, the Hungarian State Ballet Troupe was founded in 1884 following the establishment of the Hungarian State Opera House. By combining the Hungarian dances, the classic Russian ballets, the modern European and American dances, the Hungarian State Ballet Troupe has created numerous rich and unique ballet classics.

By using the classic ballets, the national arts, the modern jazz and the unique music, Spartacus vividly represents the massive uprising of ancient Roman slaves more than 2000 years ago.
