Guangzhou Children's Palace Art Troupe visits Morocco Updated: 2004-07-20
Sent by the Ministry of
Culture in China, a 30-people delegation of the Guangzhou
Children's Palace Art Troupe arrived in Rabat, the capital of Morocco, on July
4, and kicked off a road show, unveiling Chinese cultural tour of North Africa.
During the visit, the troupe participated in the tenth Rabat International
Arts Festival, the 39th Marrakech International Arts Festival and other
festivals, and launched a visiting performance in Khouribga City, the largest
phosphate mining area of Morocco.
Despite fatigue from the trip, climate sickness and simple and crude
conditions, the actors and actresses of the troupe, aged from seven to 17,
overcame all these difficulties and brought wonderful performances to the
audiences.
The delegation had a happy get-together with officials of Chinese embassy in
Morocco during their stay there, and returned to China on July 16.
