Call for poster designs Announcement Updated: 2004-04-26
The 7th China Arts Festival, sponsored by China's Ministry of Culture and
undertaken by Zhejiang provincial government, will be held in Zhejiang on Sept
10-26. Now designs for posters of the festival are solicited.
1. Requirements
1) Giving prominence to the theme of "a pageant of arts and a festival of the
people" and reflecting the elegant features of the national arts festival as
well as that of Zhejiang. The design should be original, mainly using abstract
and symbolic ploys, quite vision-attractive. No confine on styles.
2) Candidate works should have on it the logo and the standard remarks as
follows:
a) The 7th China Arts Festival (both in Chinese and English) b) Sponsored
by the Ministry of Culture, P.R.China c) Undertaken by Zhejiang provincial
government d) Time: Sept 10-26, 2004
3) Candidate works should be original and haven't been published before.
2. Soliciting measures:
1) Colored standard design, black-and-white design, proportion of the design,
and descriptions of the original meanings are required for each candidate work.
The designs should be printed on coated paper with a size of 60 x 90, while
computer designs should be recorded on CDs with remarks of the software in
use. 2) Each candidate work should be prepared in 3 copies.
Please mail your works to the Office of Zhejiang Preparing Committee for the
7th China Arts Festival, on it with notes of "Applicant Designs for Posters of
the 7th China Arts Festival" and brief introduction of the author as well as his
/ her telephone number.

3) The deadline for soliciting is April 30, 2004.
3. Awarding
1) Experts will evaluate all the works. The works that are chosen will be
announced on the Websites of the 7th China Arts Festival and Zhejiang Online, as
well as newspapers such as China Culture News and Zhejiang Daily in the May of
2004.
2) An award of 2,000 yuan (US$ 250) will be given to each author whose work
has been chosen. The copyrights of the chosen works belong to Zhejiang Preparing
Committee for the 7th China Arts Festival
3) Participating works will not be returned no matter chosen or not.
4) Right for final explanation lies with the Office of Zhejiang Preparing
Committee for the 7th China Arts Festival.
