Mascot for 7th China Arts Festival decided: Larkish Monkey

Larkish Monkey, designed by famous painter Han Meilin, has been chosen as the mascot for 7th China Arts Festival. 2004 is the year of the monkey, and the mascot is modeled on it: a playful and lovely monkey stays on an opera facial make-up, watching in earnest the art performances; the facial make-up underneath is a combination of happiness and sorrow, which is a precise epitome of stage art elements.
