On October 1st, 2001, the Republic's Album of 2000~2001 -- A Photo Show in Celebration of Founding of 52nd Anniversary of the People's Republic of China, jointly held by the Ministry of Information and Culture of Laos, the Friendship Association of Laos and China and the Chinese Embassy in Laos, opened at the National Cultural Palace in Vientiane. Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the People's Revolutionary Party of Laos and Minister of Propaganda Ministry participated in the opening ceremony and cuts the ribbon for the photo show.

Vice Minister of the Ministry of Information and Culture of Laos, Director of State Physical Culture and Physical Culture Commission, Vice Chairman of the Friendship Association of Laos and China, and the responsible people of the related aspects participated in the opening ceremony. The diplomatic envoys from various countries stationing in Laos, the cultural officials, the representatives of the international organizations, the representatives of the Chinese residing in Laos and the overseas Chinese in Laos, over 200 people in total, were invited to participate in the opening ceremony.
