For celebrating 52nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the curtain of a Chinese photo show of the Republic's Album of 2000~2001 is drawn back on October 23rd, 2001 at Home of Yugoslavian Armymen in the capital of Yugoslavian Federation. Yugoslavian government officials and all circles of the society, around 200 people, participated in the opening ceremony.
The photo show of Republic's Album of 2000~2001 is a record of important events occurring in China during the fall of 2000 to the end of summer of 2001 with 100 photos, reflecting the new era's looks of China's reforms and opening-up. The Minister of the Ministry of Science, Culture, Physical Culture and Youth of Yugoslavian Federation delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. He said that the photo show displayed the great achievements made by China in the fields of politics, economy, culture and physical culture in recent years and the happy life of the Chinese people and that the photo show would help the Yugoslavian people to have a better understanding of the realistic China and the realistic Chinese people.
Wen Xigui, Ambassador of China to Yugoslavian Federation, said that the achievements made by China since its founding 52 years ago have attracted worldwide attention, the reforms and opening-up for over 20 years have brought about great changes with each passing day, and the photo show, he believes, will further strengthen the friendship between the peoples of China and Yugoslavia.
