The China-Panama Trade Development Office holds a photo show of Republic's Album of 2000~2001 at the library of Panama University on October 16th, 2001 to celebrate 52nd anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

The Vice President of Panama University delivers a speech brimming with warm feeling at the opening ceremony. She speaks highly of the great achievements made by the People's Republic of China since its founding on October 1st, 1949. She also hopes more activities like this will be held in the future so that the mutual understanding between the two countries of Panama and China can be promoted.

At the opening ceremony, Li Yonglu, Representative of the China-Panama Trade Development Office, gives a briefing of the tremendous changes made by China since its founding half a century ago and the important events shown in the photos occurring in the past year in China. People from all walks of life in Panama, including Ex-president of Panama, the diplomatic corps and the leaders of overseas Chinese, over 80 people in total, participate in the opening ceremony that night and view the photo show. They speak highly of the tremendous achievements made by China.

The photo show is to be closed on October 22nd.
