On the afternoon of September 27th, 2001, a large-scale photo show of the Republic's Album of 2000~2001 is displayed at the National Day reception held at the Chinese Embassy in Finland, warmly accepted and highly appraised by the friends from all circles in Finland. Minister of Cultural Ministry of Finland, Director of President's General Office, Chairman of Finland-China Association, and over 400 Finnish and Chinese friendly personages from all walks in Finland view the show.

The Finnish friends, Chinese and overseas Chinese coming from various parts of Finland sigh with emotion when they learn about the reforms and opening-up, economic construction and the tremendous changes of the people's living standard in China from the large-scale photo show. They think that these photos taken at the historic moments show indisputably the marvelous achievements that have attracted the worldwide attention in the fields of politics, economy, culture and science and technology since the reforms and opening-up of China,and that China, developing towards the direction of a strong and powerful nation in the world, is sure to play a more and more important role in maintaining world peace and in international affairs as well.

One of the friends from the Finland-China Friendship Association says with deep feelings, Though I have been to China for several times, I have not seen many of the things shown on the photos. China is developing with each passing day. The photo show is real good. Even though we don't go to China, we can still know the tremendous changes there. Many friends say the form of the Republic's Album is very good, touching their hearts.
