A series of Chinese cultural activities sponsored by Chinese Embassy in Chile was held from September till December 2001 at places including Santiago's Chilian Catholic University Media Center, Chilian southern city of strategic importance Temuco and the celebrated cultural city Chillan. Among them a photo show of the World Heritage in China is the most noticeable.

Government officials from different places, celebrities and scholars in cultural and art circles attended relevant activities. Chilian mass media covered news actively and made reports. People are full of praise for China's social development and sights of cultural interest and scenic beauty.
