To celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the founding of the PRC, Chinese Embassy in Kuwait and Kuwaiti National Cultural, Art and Literature Committee jointly held a photo show of the World Heritage in China at the Kuwaiti Cultural Center on October 7th.

Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Zen Xuyong said at the opening ceremony that China had always attached great importance to the exploration and protection of cultural and natural heritage. Currently China already has 27 sites included by UNESCO on the list of the world cultural and natural heritage. He hoped that the show could help enhance the exchanges between the two countries in culture heritage protection and promote friendship and mutual understanding.

Secretary General of Kuwaiti Cultural Commission Mohammed Rumance said that the show was an important link in a series of cooperative activities. He stated that the Kuwaiti Ministry of Culture values very high cultural exchanges with China and hopes that while Chinese culture is introduced to Kuwait, the culture of Kuwait will be introduced in turn to China.

It is known that the Kuwaiti Cultural Commission is to conclude an Implementing Plan for Sino-Kuwait Cultural Agreement with China in Beijing in April 2002. At that time a Kuwaiti Cultural Week and a Kuwaiti Painting and Musical Art Show will be held in Beijing.
