A photo show entitled World Heritage in China sponsored by Chinese Embassy in Rwanda was held at the Falu Cultural Center at Kigali, the capital of Rwanda, during November 20^th-30th, 2001. Officials from Rwanda Ministry of Foreign Affaires and Ministry of Youth Physical Culture, members of Parliament, and foreign diplomatic envoys to Rwanda attended the opening ceremony.

Rwanda mass media followed the show with much enthusiasm. Reporters from Rwanda State TV Station interviewed Charge D'affairés Ad Interim of Chinese Embassy and the organizer of the show, which was reported the following day in the English, French and Rwanda language news programs. The largest local English language newspaper New Times also covered the show. Local residents, learning the news from the media, came to the show in an endless stream, making admissions totaled about several thousands.
