Photo Show of World Heritage in China in Nepal

Chinese Embassy in Nepal successfully held a photo show of the World Heritage in China at the International Convention Center in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal, during December 2nd ~ 4th.

On the morning of December 2nd, Nepali important persons in politics, leaders of political parties, foreign diplomatic envoys in Nepal and friendly people in all circles, about 150 in number, attended the opening ceremony. Nepali Minister of Forest and Water-and-Earth Conservation Sleist and Wu Congyong, Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, cut the ribbon for the ceremony and each made a speech. The guests highly praised the active role China has played since restoration of her legal seat in the United Nations and placed high hopes on the development of Sino-Indian relations in all fields. Now that an agreement has been signed between the two countries for regarding the territories of each other as tourist destinations, there will be a vast range of prospects for economic, trade, and tourist cooperation between the two countries.

Admissions to the show during the short period of two and a half days totaled about 1,500. Visitors enthusiastically wrote on the visitor's book, asking for information about China and expressing their hope for more such show to be held. The warm response from the local residents indicates that the show has achieved good results of publicity and has opened a window that helps to enlarge China's influence in Nepal.
