Photo Show of World Heritage in China in Nigeria

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the restoration of China's legal seat in the United Nations, China held a large-scale photo show of the World Heritage in China to express her gratitude to the Nigerian government and the people for the precious support they granted to China. Abujia's Cultural and Art Center Exhibition Hall where the show was held was filled with animated atmosphere. Nigerian visitors watched the exhibits attentively, murmuring admiration and pondering over the photos they had seen as if they were enjoying aromatic exotic wine.

On display were photos focusing on 27 UNESCO heritage sites in China and photos recording the history of China's entry into WTO and success in the bid to host the Olympic Games. With China's pace in opening-up quickened and her international status raised, the people all over the world are inclined to understand China more, in particular the Nigerian people who went around in 1971 for the restoration of China's legal seat in the United Nations. Director of Nigerian Capital Region Cultural and Art Committee Eemoga said to the journalists that since it was the first time for a bursting number of visitors here to come to a grand photo show like this, he thanked the photographers who brought to the Nigerian people China's splendid culture and fantastic landscape. He added by saying, We admire China's long history and rich culture, and we admire in particular China's economic development and technical progress today. The Nigerian people are happy for the development of China.

Among the visitors were residents of Abujia and other regions. Some were busying taking photos of the photos on display.

Many foreign diplomatic envoys to Nigeria also visited the show. Pakistani diplomat Aihamed said that the photo show helped him to better understand China's status in the field of world cultural heritage. The fact that such perfect architectures could be well preserved over a long period of 5,000 years had given full expression to the wisdom of the Chinese people.

Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Liang Yinzhu also attended the opening ceremony. He said that since the restoration of her legal seat in the United Nations, China has been playing an increasingly important role. He hoped that Nigeria, China and other countries in the world join hands to create a peaceful and prosperous world.
