A photo show of the World Heritage in China was opened at Namibia's National Art Gallery on February 21st, 2002. Chinese Ambassador to Namibia Chen Laiyuan, Namibia Minister of Culture Motovar, other officials from Namibia Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, people in various circles, foreign diplomats in Namibia and overseas Chinese amounting to 100-plus attended the opening ceremony. Chinese Ambassador Chen and Namibia Minister Motovar spoke at the meeting respectively.

The show lasted till March 9th. During the time of its opening, Namibia mass media made continuous reports on the show and offered information about China's long history, splendid culture and achievements in the protection of cultural and natural heritage. Visitors came to the show in a long stream, among whom were Namibian government officials, people in culture, health, education, and press circles, artists, students and foreign diplomats in Namibia. Chinese culture and natural landscape have left on them a pleasant impression.
