On the morning of April 25th, a photo show of the Art of China's Peking Opera and World Heritage in China was solemnly opened in Hue, the well-known onetime capital of Viet Nam.

Li Ri Che, Director of the Art Festival Organizing Committee and Vice President of Chun Thien-Hue Province People's Committee, Ruan Chunhua, Vice Director of the Organizing Committee and Chief of Cultural and Communication Department, Su Runwei, Director of Foreign Affaires Office, local officials, people in various circles and foreign artists gathering at the International Carving Creation Camp, about 200 persons in total, were present at the opening ceremony.

Vice Director Ruan Chunhua delivered a passionate speech on behalf of the Organizing Committee. Chinese Embassy Cultural Attache Lin Chaozhong, on behalf of the embassy, spoke at the meeting and cut the ribbon together with Vice President Li Ri Che. Lin Chaozhong gave an account of the achievements China had obtained in excavation of cultural relics and protection of cultural heritage. He also elaborated on the artistic features of Peking Opera and pointed out in particular that the show co-sponsored by Chinese Embassy and the Organizing Committee of Hue Art Festival was meant for the Vietnamese people to have a better understanding of China and the Chinese culture.
