Photo Show of World Heritage in China Held Successfully in Czech

To mark the 30th anniversary of the restoration of China's legal seat in the United Nations, a photo show of the World Heritage in China, co-sponsored by the office of culture of Chinese Embassy in Czech and Czech Usky Museum, was held in North Czech's Tpulice's Regional Museum from February 5th to 28th, 2002. Chinese Ambassador to Czech Li Changhe, Mayor of Tpulice Kubler and curator of Tpulice Regional Museum Shepichka attended the opening ceremony.

Pamphlets in Czech language named World Cultural and Natural Heritage in China published by the Chinese embassy's office of culture were distributed to visitors to help them acquire all-round information about China, reputed as the oriental country with ancient civilization.

On display were 60 color photos each mounted on a crystal frame, featuring the scenic beauty and cultural splendor of the 27 UNESCO heritage sites. Over 4,000 visitors attended the show, among whom some were locals, and some came all the way from the capital Prague. There were also friends from other countries. All were fascinated by China's natural and cultural charm. Many left comments on the visitor's book.

Journalists from Czech Radio Station and local newspapers interviewed Li Changhe about the photo show.
