Photo Show of World Heritage in China Held in ROK

The photo show of the World Heritage in China, sponsored by the Chinese Embassy in ROK, was solemnly held at the 600-year-old Chengjunguan University from May 29th to June 3rd, at a time when the 10th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was around the corner. On display at the same time were crystal paintings of Figures in Chinese Peking Opera and photos of 100 Archeological Discoveries in the 20th Century in China.

Chinese Ambassador to ROK Li Bing, President of Chengjunguan University, and Chancellor of Korean Cultural and Educational Development Institute cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. Over 200 Chinese and Korean people from various circles attended the meeting.

The photos on display gave a vivid show of China's long history, splendid culture, photosque scenery and elegant figures in Chinese Peking opera, which attracted a flood of visitors from all works of life. There were students, teachers, parents carrying kids, second-time visitors with their loved ones, and people in religious circle. A young mother said after visiting the show, that although her kids were still young, they could learn from the photos about Chinese cultural and natural legacy. She wished that they could come to study in China when they grew up. A young man said that he would take his parents to China some day so that they could see everything in China with their own eyes. The Chinese Language Institute, specializing in preparatory courses for students intending to further their study in China's key universities such as Peking University and the People's University, rearranged their teaching schedule when they got the news that the show was to be held at the university. 100-plus students in four classes led by Chinese teachers came to the exhibition hall where they learned Chinese language and culture on the spot while watching the exhibits, under the guidance of teachers.
