In commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between China and Korea, A Show of Chinese Well-known Historical and Cultural Cities in Korea will be held in Pusan, Koran, in August 2002. The heritage of the Chinese well-known historical and cultural cities is the most valuable material remnants of the splendid ancient culture of China, the most deep-going and the liveliest historical crystal of the industrious, intelligent and creative Chinese nation. For embodying the protection and emphasis of our historical and cultural heritage, heightening our national pride and arousing the people's patriotic enthusiasm, the Chinese State of Council listed 99 cities as well-known historical and cultural cities in 1982, 1986 and 1994 successively. The purpose of this activity is to show the long-standing and splendid national cultural heritage of our well-known historical and cultural cities, to explore the function of the valuable cultural resources to promote the economic development, and to expand the total brand effect of the Chinese well-known historical and cultural cities.
