For implementing the economic development policy of giving special allowances to the Central Western region and the strategy of making vigorous development of the Western relgion laid down by the Central Committee of CPC, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has organized the Investment Promotion Delegation of the Inland Areas of China to visit Korea once a year since 1995. So far, seven visits have been organized.

The Investment Promotion Delegation of the Inland Areas of China consists of the responsible people of part of the Province and District Governments in the Western region of China. During their visit to Korea, they'll pay official calls to Korean officials, carry out exchanges with the responsible people of the major economic organizations of Korea, visit those responsible people related to the construction in the inland areas of China, and hold the Interpretation Meeting for Making Investment in the Inland Areas of China.

All the investment promotion activities of the previous delegation carried out in Korea are very effective. They have popularized the decision and strategy of the Chinese Government to make vigorous development of the Central Western region, and to make the foreign businessmen have a better understanding of the Central Western region of China. The Korean entrepreneurs know very little about the inland provinces of China, and the trade and investment as well. The delegation will lay emphasis on the popularization and introduction of the inland provinces. With the form of investment interpretation, the delegation will lay special emphasis on introducing the investment environments in the Western provinces and some projects in detail. 

In the second part of October 2002, the CCPIT will organize the eighth visit of Investment Promotion Delegation of the Inland Areas of China to Korea.
