Since the reforms and opening-up, the
private economy of China has
started to grow in strength and has been maintaining a sustained, rapid and
steady trend for development. In recent years, the contribution rate of the
private enterprise to the increase of China's GDP is over 60%. The private industry has formed a rather strong
economic force, having become an important component of the socialist market
economy of China. China is carrying out an all-round opening to
the private enterprises in the fields of infrared structure construction, market
permit and enterprise financing. All this provides good policy environments for
the private enterprises in China.
For strengthening the ties between our
private enterprises and foreign enterprises and for raising the competition
ability in the world market, China is to organize 10-20 representative private enterprises in
China to visit Korea. They will visit the relevant economic
organizations in Korea, make a
survey of the representative enterprises in Korea and carry out exchanging activities
with the Korean entrepreneurs.
China's successful
entry into the WTO, China
's implementation of the strategy to develop the Western Area, the strategic
reform of the state economy, and the strategic readjustment of economic structure -- all
this has provided a broad space for the development of private economy.
Therefore, the private economy is facing an unprecedented opportunity for
development and a severe challenge as well.
The economic and trade relations between
China and Korea are mutually complementary and the
bilateral economic cooperation has been very active. Besides, Korea , as an Asian country developed
in economy, has a lot for our entrepreneurs to learn from. As it happens that
this year is the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations
between China and Korea, we have planned to carry out broad economic exchange
activities between the two countries, popularizing our economic policy on the
one hand and learning the advanced experiences from other countries on the other
for the simple reason of achieving the purpose of mutual benefits. In June this
year, we'll take our private entrepreneurs to Korea to survey their local enterprises, to
hold symposium with the Korean people in the economic circles, to introduce to
them the economic development in our country, and to further explore how to form
stable and lively bilateral economic cooperation relations between the two
countries.
