Ever since reforms and opening up, Chinese private sector of economy has started to grow at a sustainable rapid pace, accounting in recent years for over 60% of GDP growth in China. It has now become a significant component part of China's socialist market economy. Currently the central government has created a favorable environment for the development of private enterprises in capital construction, market access, business financing, etc.

In order to beef up connections between China's private-owned enterprises and foreign enterprises and strengthen competitiveness in the international market, China plans to organize a 10-20 person delegation of private-sector entrepreneurs typically representative at home for a visit to Japan to call on relevant economic entities, investigate representative businesses and conduct exchanges with Japanese entrepreneurs.

China's successful access to WTO, the state strategy of developing the Great West, the strategic restructure of state sector of economy: all these have provided a wide sphere for the development of private sector of economy. Therefore, the private-owned businesses are having an unprecedented opportunity for development.

The economic and trade relations between China and Japan are complementary to a large degree. Bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries is brisk. Meanwhile, Japan as an economically developed country in Asia, has a lot worth learning from by Chinese business circles. It happens to be 30th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan this year. To extensively carry on economic exchanges between the two countries, publicize China's economic policy and learn advanced experience from foreign countries for the purpose of mutual benefit, the private sector entrepreneurs are to visit Japan in June this year to investigate local businesses, discuss with Japanese business people, introduce development of Chinese economy and further study the issue concerning how to establish a steady and active bilateral economic cooperation relations.
