At the invitation of Japan Minon Association, a 46-person visiting performance troupe from China Peking Opera Theatre sent by China-Japan Friendship Association left for Japan for visiting performances. They are to tour the whole Japanese islands from the north to the south, giving 70 performances in over 40 large and medium-sized cities in a period of time more than two months. The debut is to be held in Okinawa. The program includes items known to almost to every household in China such as Stealing Celestial Herbs, Autumn River, Hu Family Village and Causing Havoc in Heaven, starred by renowned actor Li Guang. A number of young and middle-aged performers recently known to the public will also reveal their talents on the stage.

The Democratic Minon is a non-governmental organization for music appreciation in a relatively large scale at whose invitation China-Japan Friendship Association has sent to Japan large performing troupes including the Oriental Song and Dance Troupe, Yunnan Song and Dance Troupe, Nationalities Song and Dance Troupe and Shanghai Acrobatic Troupe. All attained gratifying successes.
