China Inner Mongolia Acrobatic Troupe is the only professional state acrobatic troupe in Inner Mongolia border area. Established in 1960, it has survived over 40 years.
The troupe, on the basis of inheriting traditional acrobatic arts, has continuously created new items featuring national style and regional traits. The acrobats' superb skills, original performances and unique ethnic dress have won extensive praise from audience worldwide.
The troupe's Kicking bowls by four performers was awarded golden medal at the 13th Tomorrow acrobatic contest held in Paris, France. The items archery, juggling with the feet, rolling lamp, chair act by two performers, balancing on double planks, rolling lamp by two performers and hoop act have won golden, silver or bronze medals respectively at domestic and world acrobatic contests.
Apart from touring the country, the troupe has been to over 20 countries in Asia, Europe, Oceania and North America, making contributions in boosting friendship and enhancing cultural exchanges among people of all countries.
