Furihara Film Work Show to be Held in Beijing

To celebrate 30th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, Furihara Film Wok Show is to be held in the middle of April at Beijing China Film File House.

Films to be shown include Looking Homeward, Life-and-Death Love, Sinohegawa, Love of Moscow, Sino-Japan co-produced film Ringing Bells of Qingliang Temple and TV serial Star of Home-looking and others among which Village Teacher, Sinohegawa and Love of Moscow were shown in China for the first time.

Furihara, an illustrious Japanese film star and modern drama actress, is currently managing director of Japan-China Cultural Exchange Association. The films starred by her such as Looking Homeward and Life-and-Death Love came to China as early as 1979 and attracted much attention from Chinese audience. In 1986, she starred Blascht's modern drama Good Man of Sichuan directed by noted director Senda Koreya. The play was staged in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, well received by audience.

Furihara arrived at Beijing on April 12th leading a delegation to attend activities relevant to the show.
